Featured in Women’s Health Magazine and Reviewed, we’re reviewing the Gruvii Bubbly Rose! Gruvi describes their Bubbly Rose as “…fruity on the nose and pours a light pink hue. Tiny, effervescent bubbles compliment notes of tart, green apple, and fresh strawberry. This sparkling sipper is gluten-free, alcohol-free (0.0%), and only 60 calories per bottle.”

About the makers of Grüvi Bubbly Rose
Gruvi doesn’t disclose much about its founders, but here’s what they share about their mission. “We are trailblazing a new way to live and socialize with alcohol-free beverages that make every moment more Grüvi.
Here at Grüvi, we strive to create an inclusive community focused on making better choices within our daily lives. We truly believe in a world where we don’t always feel inclined to drink in a social setting, and a world where everyone can feel comfortable, regardless of what’s in their cup.”
Dealcoholization process
Although Gruvi calls this particular drink a “Rose”, it was never a real Rose to begin with. Despite its name, the Bubbly Rose is not an Unwine, but rather a Soft Drink. In short, this non-alcoholic drink never had alcohol in it, so alcohol was never removed.
I initially didn’t have high expectations for this drink because it was 0.0% alcohol. I’m on the search for great alcohol replacements, so how good of a replacement can it be, if it was never alcohol to begin with.
What does Gruvi Bubbly Rose Taste Like?
Our rosé is fruity on the nose and pours a light pink hue. Tiny, effervescent bubbles compliment notes of tart, green apple and fresh strawberry.
I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by Gruvi Bubbly Rose. In a nutshell, this drink is the non-alcoholic version of a red-label Smirnoff Ice. It’s fruity and fizzy, with a hint of sweetness, just like its alcoholic counterpart. Smirnoff doesn’t disclose the flavor and the ingredients of their drink, so there’s no direct comparison, but the taste is spot on. This also means that this Gruvi Bubbly Rose tastes more like a true soft drink than a wine replacement.
Grüvi Bubbly Rose is the best Nonalcoholic version of Smirnoff Ice
Although the Gruvi Bubbly Rose isn’t something I would use to replace a typical sparkling rose, I still really enjoyed it. It’s uncanny how closely it resembles a Smirnoff, and that’s how I would enjoy it – straight out of the bottle at a barbeque. Not as fancy, but tasty.
I really wouldn’t compare this to a sparkling rose because it’s missing a bit of the rose flavor profile. When fruits undergo the fermentation process, it changes the flavor tones of the end product.
The Gruvi Bubbly Rose just doesn’t have it, which is why this works better as a soft drink. Overall, we give Gruvi Bubbly Rose 3 sips.
Here is great review from a Verified Amazon Customer:
“Not Exactly Like Pink Champagne but In a Good Way
If you drink this thinking it will be the same as bubbly rose, you will be disappointed. But if you drink it as a tasty NA beverage with some of the same flavor profiles you love from bubby rose you will love it. It’s a separate thing and that’s okay. It’s tart and bubby and fruity and goes well with a meal. Unlike bubby rose, there’s no heartburn, headache or hangover either. I keep this one hand because it’s my favorite.”
