Almost Zero Ravishing Rose

When wines are given names like “Ravishing”, it sounds very oversold. I purchased it because it was one of the few options available locally. Non-alcoholic wines are growing but the selection is still very limited. This is presented in a clear bottle to let the pink color of the wine show. The label is also a balance between traditional ornate designs and a simple black and silver color scheme. They also make it very clear on the package that this wine contains almost no alcohol. Without it, this bottle can easily be mistaken for a typical bottle of wine. TLDR? Check out our rating.

How is Ravishing Rose Non-Alcoholic Wine Dealcoholized?

This rose can be categorized as a true UnWine. It started as a grape, fermented into alcoholic wine, and then through a dealcoholization process, turned into a non-alcoholic rose. The spinning cone technology was used to dealcoholize this wine. Since no process can remove 100% of the alcohol, this wine contains 0.33% alcohol by volume. To put it into perspective, fermented foods like traditional soy sauce contain up to 2% ABV. Since there may be trace amounts of alcohol in this product, they specifically list the product as “Almost Zero”.

What does the Dealcoholized Ravishing Rose Taste Like?

This exciting beverage is made from top, handpicked grapes that are used to produce a vibrant, high-quality wine. Using the latest advanced technology in winemaking the alcohol is then removed from the wine. The Van Loveren Family Vineyard is located in South Africa. This specific wine uses 100% Red Muscadel. Wines that are 100% made from one grape always get my respect because they are significantly more difficult to produce and keep consistent.

The result is soft and smooth with rose petal and strawberry tones. It is ideal for every occasion without the alcohol restricting your enjoyment. Enjoy as a flavorful aperitif or with your favorite pastas, meat dishes, and pizza.

Upon opening, it smells like wine! A very faint rose smell, reminiscent of a merlot. However, the mouth feel of this Rose has a different viscosity. Without the alcohol, the liquid is thinner, more like the texture of juice without any of the sweetness. Like traditional wines, the ravishing rose was very smooth and lightly fruity. The best part was that unlike most of the UnWines, we review on Social Unbuzz, it wasn’t sour!

Ravishing Rose Review and Rating

On a scale from 1-5 sips, this UnWine definitely deserves 4 sips. It can stand as a good alternative to alcoholic wines. The taste is very close to a glass of rose. It’s more complex than juice, but you can still taste the grape flavor. It’s the perfect summer drink, served cold and poolside.
