If you think we’ve made a mistake because Stella Rosa produces alcoholic wine – you’re both right and wrong. When we first saw the Stella Rosa non alcoholic label – we had to do a double take. Although there was a bold “Non Alcoholic” label on the bottle, we typically associate Stella Rosas with fun alcoholic wines. Can this traditional wine-maker produce a good non-alcoholic version of their wines? Let’s find out! TLDR? Skip to the rating.
About Stella Rosa and the San Antonio Winery
Although I’ve seen Stella Rosa often at our local grocery store, we actually weren’t very familiar with the history of the brand. After some research, we found that Stella Rosa was created and produced by San Antonio Winery, based in California. Although they were a California winery, their customers demanded a lighter and sweeter wine. So they began importing from a region in Italy called Asti and produced their Moscato wines. To this day, Stella Rosa still imports wines from the same Italian region.
CRAFTED FROM TRADITION, LEADING INNOVATION
Born through a rich legacy, Stella Rosa remains at the forefront of innovation. Stella Rosa is not just about producing award-winning semi-sweet, semi-sparkling Italian wines; it’s about evolving with the spirit of the times when it comes to wine trends and popular culture.
The brand is always growing, learning, and striving to satisfy its loyalists’ needs while pushing the level of sophistication to also appeal to dry wine aficionados looking for something a little different. Stella Rosa is more than just a refreshing wine; it’s a lifestyle.

Dealcoholization process
Stella Rosa is mum about their dealcoholization process. However, due to the 0.3% ABV, it led us to believe that the base of this unwine is traditional, fermented wine.
With fun, fresh and fruity in mind, our team of Italian winemakers sought out to craft the same great taste of Stella Rosa, but in a non-alcoholic form. The team spent months researching and testing different ways to make our famous flavors perfect even without the alcohol.

Peach Non-Alcoholic First impressions
If we had to describe the packaging in one word, it would be fun. What’s not to like about a bright yellow bottle? Although it was a glass container, we could see that the whole glass was actually shrink-wrapped in yellow plastic, instead of a colored glass bottle. This definitely decreases the production cost since the same glass bottle design can be used across different products. By simply modifying the plastic shrink wrap, multiple iterations using the same container can be used. The second feature to note was that this is not sealed with a cork, but instead a screw cap. Most Stella Rosa Alcoholic wines also feature a screw cap, so it’s expected that they would choose the same closure type.

Initially, I was surprised that the Stella Rosa Non Alcoholic Peach wasn’t orange like a bellini. The color was pale and resembled a white wine, light pale color. Again, we appreciate the choice to use a yellow-colored label instead of color dyes to create an unnecessary liquid color. https://www.instagram.com/p/CjZQr27s-x7/
The smell was very fruity just like the description – peach and honey. The taste was also fruity with a subtle sweetness, and not as syrupy as a traditional bellini (peach puree + prosecco). You get the best of both worlds – the sweet and fruity aroma without the sugar!
Stella Rosa Peach Non-Alcoholic Rating and Review
This non alcoholic drink gets 4 Sips from us! We absolutely recommend everyone try at least once. The Stella Rosa Peach Non Alcoholic was very easy to drink, and the bubbles reminded us of a lighter version of a weekend bellini. The fruity flavor makes it a perfect substitute for dessert and I could totally see myself enjoying this on a sunny pool day. If you find this to be a bit sweet for your taste – it’s easy to cut the sweetness by serving it over ice.

Where to buy Peach Non-Alcoholic
Although I found this locally in my Publix, within a few months, these non alcoholic wines were discounted and later discontinued. When you have an amazing track record of sales (as with the alcoholic version of Stella Rosa), a retailer would take a new product on. Fun Fact: In 2019 Stella Rosa was America’s #1 imported Italian wine. WineBusiness.com
However, no matter how good your track record is, if a product fails to perform, retailers are also just as quick to pull it off the shelves. Today, Stella Rosa Peach is no longer available at our local Publix but is available at Total Wine or directly off their website.
